1. Free Service Provision

EssayPolish is provided as a free service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

2. User Content and Plagiarism

You are responsible for the content you submit to EssayPolish (your "User Content").

• No Content Generation: EssayPolish is a *refinement* tool. We do not generate new content or perform research. We polish and improve your existing text.
• Academic Integrity: We do not endorse or encourage academic dishonesty. You must use EssayPolish only on work that you have originally authored. Using our tool to polish work you did not write may violate your institution's academic honesty policy.
• Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to your User Content.

3. Privacy and Data Security

Your privacy is a top priority. As outlined in our Privacy Policy:

• We do not store your essays or papers after the editing process is complete unless you choose to save them to your account or they are auto-saved.
• Auto-save is enabled by default to help prevent accidental data loss, but you can turn it off anytime in your account settings.
• Any auto-saved or manually saved essays are securely stored and can be deleted at any time from your dashboard.
• Saved essays are technically accessible to authorized staff only for maintenance or troubleshooting, but we will never view, use, or share your content unless required by law.
• Your work is not used to train AI models or shared with third parties for marketing.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any purpose that is prohibited by these Terms or any applicable law, rule, or regulation. Prohibited uses include:

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the service or its related systems or networks.

• Submitting malicious code or content.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." ESSAYPOLISH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

6. Limitation of Liability

ESSAYPOLISH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
